Dad

I’m so sorry to hear about your dad. 

Getting news like this - just like the initial diagnosis was - is devastating. But although your dad is poorly he is still with you. There is time for the whole family to show him how much he is loved. You can share memories with him, hold him, tell him how much you love him, how much you have loved having him for a dad.

Sure you feel devastated, useless. The two hours distance is a problem. You and your brother have your mum to think about, but there is time to decide how to proceed. Your own kids will be a comfort to you. And you can be a comfort to your parents and offer some practical support.

You are not alone though; you have people who can help you too; professionals and your friends.

Contrary to popular belief you don’t have to be strong, your love won’t let you. So grieve but celebrate your dad’s life with him.
