Help Drinking and Eating

I had my Radiotherapy about 2 weeks ago and was put on a mashable diet which I could just say manage, but now I can't even manage that. At the moment my chest is killing me . At present I can't drink a cuppa coffee so I thought I'd try just water even that is a no go the pain is horrendous I'm sick almost immediately but all I bring up is saliva and still in pain please help ASAP

I'm so sorry to hear this Bazzg. Sounds awful. Have they not prescribed any pain relief? It sounds like you really need to get the pain under control. Does your hospital have an out of hours hotline? Hopefully once your pain is managed, you may be able to swallow. I'm assuming you don't have a nasal or gastric tube? Take care and hang in there. Creina

So sorry to hear you are in pain. Are you able to take anything for the pain? You probably realise that if you aren’t managing liquids you are in danger of becoming dehydrated.you really shouldn’t leave it before contacting the hospital.

just a thought... will a sip of very cold fizzy drink go down?

I do hope they get things under control very soon.
