Hi, I'm sorry to hear about your situation. Were you told if it was squamous cell carcinoma, or adenocarcinoma? And have you had the scans and been told what the staging was? Did you get a reason why surgery is not an option? Sorry for the questions but it might help you get some feedback and information from current patients and survivors. Don't give up hope try to be as positive as possible. I know that sounds daft but it does help. Kind regards Frank.

    Hi

Sorry to hear that the pancreas is affected to, I'm not familiar with the internal layout of the various body bits I'll need to have a look on the Web. It's a very emotional time being told that you have any type of cancer. I think consultants could do with some training on communication skills when discussing this with patients. I don't mean they should sugar coat it, but I don't think they should take away all hope. I know that I will try almost anything if the need arises rather than just accept defeat. Remember we are only offered the treatment they are allowed to offer. And if they are saying none of that will work then I will look into alternatives, magic beans if necessary. Regarding the staging, I was diagnosed with T3 N2 M0 staging and didn't have any treatment prior to surgery. That was in October 2016 and I'm still here. Keep fighting and never give up hope, kind regards Frank.
