Hi has anyone used silicogel for acid reflux .Partner still getting acid relux most nights four years after op .
Hi Lesleylee, I've not heard of it I've been on 30mg lansoprazole since the surgery in October 2016. Does your partner sleep propped up with a wedge pillow? That certainly helps me and I know some patients have not been told that it prevents the acid flowing into the gullet. I hope you find a solution, kind regards Frank.
Hi frank yes he has a wedge pillow and is on lansoprazole. Takes gaviscon most nights too xx I've heard it's very good all natural ingredients sold in Holland and Barretts and Boots .
Hi Lesleylee just found your post. and have answered your message. I don't come on here very often. But have been so unwell lately I thought I would pop in to see if I could get any help. I haven't heard of silicogel but would be interested to know if it works. I am still struggling with acid reflux its driving me mad. I am getting scared as I am having pain in my chest area when eating. I have just had some kind of a virus. The doctor said I'd had diarrhea and sickness bug. I hadn't. I'd had bad reflux and a bit of dumping syndrome. I have moved so have had to change my gp so she know nothing about me. How is hubby doing? Do you still go to see Mr Javid? my appointments are yearly now. They think because my weight is okay that I am and I'm not. I get so tired I just want to sleep all the time. To be honest I'm fed up. How's hubby's diet? I still struggle to eat most things. I either don't like the taste or the smell. I tried to eat salad it nearly choked me it just wouldn't digest. Meat tastes off to me. I'm lactose intolerant so that limits me. I buy that much food come home put it in the fridge. then a week later I throw it away ha. Any Lesley it was nice to see you on here after all this time. Take care, send my best wishes to hubby.
