Hi

My Dad has recently been diagnosed with T3 N2 esophagus cancer. He is 79 in Feb. He is going for further test shortly of a pet scan, laposcopy and another endoscopy with ultrasound. He also has a large hiatus hernia and arthritis in quite a few places of his body. We will get all the results on the 5th Feb to see if they can operate.

Has anyone else at this age and the staging been lucky enough to be able to have the op?.

Thanks

Julie

  • Hi Julie and welcome to the online community

I'm really sorry to read that your dad has recently been diagnosed with oesophageal cancer. I didn't have this type of cancer so can't help with your question but noticed that you hadn't yet had a response. By replying to you it will bump your post back to the top of the first page where hopefully it'll be seen by someone with the right experience.

When you have a minute it would be really useful if could pop something about your dad's journey so far into your profile as it helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar diagnosis. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Edit Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
