Advice please

I'm sorry to hear that your husband is struggling with sickness at the moment. 

I can't suggest an alternative for him but I noticed that your post had gone unanswered. 

Has he spoken to his CNS as his team should be able to sort this out for him?

What a lovely lady you are for taking the time to respond on Christmas eve.

I think we fell into the trap of attributing every ailment to cancer,  we are now pretty sure it was in fact just a stomach bug !!, he is fine now and enjoying all that Christmas has to offer lol

I’m sorry to hear about your husband. My mum had a lot of nausea following oesophageal stent. She was taking Ondansetron and cyclizine however they stopped working and MacMillan nurses suggested metoclopramide which seems to have helped. I literally phoned my mums GP and explained what the nurses suggested and the prescription was done there and then.

I contacted our local Macmillan nurses as we seemed to have not been referred. They were brilliant and really help with symptom management. I think for your husband it might be an idea to be reviewed.

Thank you so much for the advice, my husband is due for a review in January so will certainly mention metoclopramide if his symptoms return. He is eating better now and no longer feels sick, although he still suffers from pain before eating, after eating and sometimes during eating !! We are still learning through trial and error and of course we are still very much in the early stages of recovery, I am sure it will become easier, small steps, there's no rush.
