Hi, My hubby has just completed his 4th cycle of FLOT, day 7, so is regaining his appetite and energy, however when he was initially diagnosed he had virtually no symptoms, just bit of trouble with swallowing and bloating, but he feels like this has become worse and feels full of gas and drinking liquid now feels like it is backing up into his mouth. I think we were expecting the symptoms to lessen as the chemo would shrink the tumour and allow food etc to pass down without obstruction. He is on omeprazole atm. Anyone else felt like this? Thanks in advance.
Hi herdy, Thanks for replying, bit of a shocker to hear the chemo had no effect on the cancer, hope all is good with you now.
When I asked the oncologist how much the tumour would shrink by he said not that much, there's no guarantee. So I decided to have surgery only and that was in October 2016 and I am doing just fine. Good luck to you and your husband and hopefully the swallowing will improve. Kind regards Frank.
Hi Frank, Thanks for replying, it's definitely not "One size fits all" is it eh?. It's good for the soul to read of others success stories, keep on keeping on X
