Hi all has anyone had to cancel a holiday after cancer diagnosis? And how did you get on ?
Hi and welcome to the online community
I've not had to cancel a holiday because of my melanoma diagnosis but I did have to change the dates that I was travelling on the Eurotunnel for a pre-booked trip. Thankfully, because we had booked it ourselves rather than through a travel firm this was easy to do.
Do you have holiday insurance in place to cover your holiday?
x
Hi ChrissyL
We had to cancel a holiday planned to Australia for Jan 2014 after my chemo was scheduled for Nov 2013.
with a letter from my GP we got all our money back except for a little - which was for a pre flight hotel stay, I think.
We were able to take a longer holiday to take in Australia and New Zealand a couple of years later.
Counting the days, making every day count.
Brent
Yes I do have holiday insurance thank you for your help x
Check what your holiday insurance says as most say that you need to inform them if there's a change to your health.
