I finally plucked up courage to start chemo. Started a week last Tuesday. Felt bloody awful after a few days, and in fact found things a real struggle until yesterday. I’ll be having chemo every three weeks, intravenous for one day, tablets for the next 14 days then 7 days off. I’ll have at least three cycles, but probably 6 if I can take it.
The chemo is supposed to be purely palliative as things have gone too far. It’s in the lymph nodes but not in the bone or other organs yet.
I’m wondering if the effects I’ve been feeling are the norm, and it goes in cycles, or is it pretty haphazard and I’ll get good days and bad days during each cycle? Thanks for any thoughts.
Hi
I'm not a member of this group and haven't got experience with chemotherapy but noticed that your post had gone unanswered. By replying to you it will bump it back to the top of the page where it'll be seen again.
If you still don't get any replies you could post your question in ask a nurse and one of the specialist nurses will aim to respond in 2 working days.
