Hi Every One
Hope every one is doing well. Its been a long few weeks this end.
I have my Ct Scan next week and then the wait,
As for hubby, well it has all gone to pot as you say.
Had his three chemo's as you do before op, then they said he is not fit enough after all his hard work building him self up.
So next plan five and half week's radiotherapy and five weekly chemo's, ok go with that.
Then this week as hubby has had a few problems since the chemo put him in hospital with blood clots, they decided on a heart scan there is problems with his heart caused by the first lot of chemo, so now no chemo, everything is going wrong at the moment and i can see in the last four weeks how he has gone down and now getting pain.
The chemo before the op was our answer to this, now i am lost, all gone pear shaped and the hope i had has slightly disappeared.
I am just having a moan as trying to be strong for hubby, but it is hard.
Take Care Ellie xx

Hi Ellie, sorry to hear about your husband, I can't remember what his diagnosis was. Many people put their hope on chemotherapy and I think it's time for the oncologists to explain the dangers of the treatment. I know I researched it for myself and decided not to have any chemotherapy and radiotherapy. I wanted my immune system to be as strong as possible to get me through the surgery. I hope things start to improve for you both. Good luck and kind regards Frank.
Dear Ellie
This must be a real kick in the teeth.
Chemo affected my heart, but they didn't notice till in surgery! However everything was completed OK, with a few tense moments in theatre apparently. But when it came to post op chemo I ended up in hospital and all chemo was stopped.
I share Franks frustration... we don't know what the likely side effects of chemo will be, By signing the consent form we just agree to everything and say we are prepared to take the risk.
But none of this helps you situation.
I really feel for you and your man. But while you are together don't let this disease define your relationship. Easier said than done I know.
It's wrong to say "we only live once" - we only DIE once but we live every day.
Counting the days, making every day count.
