  • hi everyone

got results from doctor today have positive cancer cells got appointment next week with hospital now the battle begins

  • Hi, just try to remain positive and picture getting through this. Having a dark sense of humour helped me . Once you have been through the staging process you will have a clearer picture of what you face. Kind regards Frank.

  • Yes, a sense of humour does help but it can dismay nearest and dearest sometimes!

your specialist nurse will guide you through the process. They have seen it so many times. They are so professional. Hopefully in a few weeks they will confirm that it Is operable.

there are loads of people here that have been through the same treatment “pathway” so any worries you have can generally be discussed here.

I found it useful to keep a journal of who said what, when. Adding questions I wanted to ask next time. Along with a record of my weight over time.

You have to believe you can beat this. I have so far. It’s 1926 days since my surgery.

Counting the days, making every day count.

    Hi

had the same thing on April 6th but have found all these wonderful people on this site who have been through it so lets focus on making it “the best thing since sliced bread” as they say in Derry Girls - it is tough on the family but the guys here have helped me enormously in the last few days with their stories and positivity.

Practical things I have done for after my chemo is prep food that I like in advance and have lots of water available all the time.

We are all individual but together will get over the finish line.

    regards

    John
