Metastasis to Liver and options

Hi everyone. I posted back in July about my mums recent diagnosis and this week we FINALLY got answers...

She has high grade poorly differentiated Adenocarcinoma which has metastasis to Liver (3 lesions), so they advised she will now be on palliative treatment and 'theres not much they can do' other than to try and slow it down and prolong as long as possible.

We are seeking a 2nd opinion privately; and a follow up meeting due tuesday to discuss the palliative plan.

Has anyone got advice or experience when esophagus cancer has spread to the liver? ive read thrre are treatments such as TACE, Ablation etc so wondering by treating / removing the Liver cancer means it could open opportunities to then treat the esophagus cancer more.

Anyone know of any trials? Immunotherapy/ radiotherapy/chemo options?

Its so shit, shes in her early 60s,  and is the primary carer for my brother who is non verbal with learning difficulties so cannot fathom even beginining of thinking about life without her. Trying not to but google is not this cancers friend when it comes to survival stats.

I need to fight for her, dont know where to start myself so just reaching out for anything I guess!

Thankyou
