In February I had brachytherapy for my oesophagus tumour. I was warned there may be significant side effects due to large dose of radiation. I was fine for a while but have now developed an ulcer at the site of the tumour, both being about 3cm in length.
This is very painful and I can no longer eat solid foods, even though there is no blockage. The oncologist had no idea it will take to heal and can only provide pain management, which hardly works.
Has anyone else had this happen and how long did it take to heal?
