My first post, so hello everyone. I've been reading your posts and a common theme seems to be the frustration of waiting for things to happen. My partner (M66) has recently been diagnosed with OC. The CT was 3 weeks after the endoscopy and then the meeting with surgeon was a week later. Surgeon confirmed it was stage 3 and a PET scan was needed which would probably be within 2 weeks. We hadn't heard anything after a week so we managed to track down the GI nurse who said there's currently at least a 6 week wait for PET scans! (We're in Glasgow). Apart from the general anguish, we're so worried about the potential to spread in that period. Six weeks just seems so much longer then timescales I've seen elsewhere but we're powerless. I suppose I'm just having a rant!
That does seem a long wait my dads has all been done within 3 weeks we are just awaiting to see consultant now .. please express your concerns ask if there’s anyway you can go on a cancellation list xx
Thank you. We did ask if there was a cancellation list and nurse said she would put him on it. Odd that you have to ask. Maybe they just say that to give you a bit more hope . All the best for your dad's meeting when it comes.

I totally understand being petrified, we just have to keep as positive as possible. Keeping everything crossed for you and your dad. I think I'll be popping on to this forum quite a bit, it's good to support each other x
Oh I hope you do I hope we can chat I feel much better when I come on here and we can share advice and encouragement and we can get each other through the tougher days ..
Bless you, the waiting is hard, I'm sorry you're riding this rollercaster to. Im newly diagnosed and just starting ut on test upon tests. Had ct scan fairly quickly, a meeting with the team a week and a bit later to be told it was cancer, need pet scan, heart and lung function tests to see if I am suitable for surgery and a liver mri to check out a spot on it. Thus week I've mri scan and echograph week after clinical investigation for lungs and Pet, then need to wait for MDT meeting on Wednesday, if the results are in ì might hear something start of the third week. Eating and drinking is my biggest problem. Praying for open doors for you. Hugs x
Hi, so sorry to hear you're going through this too. It's bad enough getting the news, but waiting for things to happen is so difficult isn't it. I hope your tests go well, I'll be keeping fingers crossed.
Oh bless you my dad is newly diagnosed too he is waiting to hear what next step is he knows it’s 7cm he also has a spot on his liver so he had a pet scan we waiting to find out about that ..
