Hi my mum was diagnosed last August with Oesophageal cancer .
Was told not curable but did get 6 cycles of chemo which finished end of January. They were happy with how she responded and had her repeat ct scan on the 30th April, we are finally getting results now this Wednesday coming . Which we are all super anxious about .
This whole time my mum has never had an issue with her eating or swallowing.
But in the last week or so , is feeling like her stomach is constantly having trapped wind/reflux, she's burping alot to the point where she has vomited a few times and has left her nervous to eat much as she hates being sick so much.
Has anyone else ever experienced this ?
Hi DerryGirl81.
I am verry sorry to read about your mum. I am not surprised she is experiencing the symptoms you describe. I think from reading various threads on this site that most of us who have or have had this disease would describe pretty much the same thing. I certainly could - in fact it is why I sought out help from the medics in the first place. Unfortunately the diagnostic phase is perhaps also the most difficult for all of us as well. I do hope you can get some encouragement from next Wednesday's meeting.
