Chemo takes 5 yrs of you
Hi Amman sorry you have not had a reply as yet but I note that you have joined the oesophageal cancer thread and hope someone will be along soon to offer some chat or advice. I think you are absolutely right chemo certainly steals bits of us even after it's finished. The only good thing though is that hopefully it does its job and enables many to go on and live a full life. Is that the case for you or too early in the treatment yet? Gail

Some might say that Chemo can also give you 5 years, it is never easy to know, but hopefully it gives more than it gets!

Hi Amman
I don’t think my husband has ever recovered from the chemo , even after two years ! But he’s here and he does have a quality of life , which he wouldn’t have had without the chemo and surgery .Each individual is different , some bounce back and some don’t quite reach the point they were before cancer struck .
He's now resigned himself to thinking this is as good as it gets and we are very grateful he’s here .
Who knows what the future holds for us all ? We just have to take life at one day at a time .
Best wishes
J
