Sorry to hear this ! I am 6 weeks post IL I have only had this problem once so can’t really help but I know if I have anything too sweet I have to go to the toilet and a lot of people on here say they have to watch sweet things ! If this continues I would certainly contact the hospital as he has only just come home ! Sorry I can’t be more help !! ️

Sorry to hear your dad is struggling. Has he been given anything like Fortisip shakes? Some people find these difficult to take……. my husband copes with them up to a point but they send him to the loo pretty quickly. If your Dad is using them ….. try sipping over a long period to see if it helps …….  but definitely speak to your GI nurse/dietician.

I would give the team at the hospital a ring for  sure so they can check him out.  I had to go  back in with similar symptoms. He needs the nutrition otherwise he will struggle. . A little surprised to read that he needs pain medication still. Is this rib pain? I hope things improve but please do seek help.

My husband is week 3 post op, he still needs pain relief. Tapering off tramadol at the moment and replacing with paracetamol when needed. 

I have suffered with Nausea since my op 15 months ago. I have to take anti sickness tablets which really help. I have also suffered with bad bouts of vomiting which leave me wiped out for days. I have never had an explanation of what causes it
