Hi everyone,
I came on with a thread on my mum’s initial diagnosis of T3,N1,M0 after CT and biopsy. We were waiting for a PET scan.
Mum has now had her PET scan and the results are that she has Metz in liver and ilium. They have obviously said that she won’t be on a curative pathway but a management pathway of chemo and maybe some radiation for the pelvic Metz.
Has anyone had this and had treatment?
Needing some positivity.
Hope you are all coping.

Hi Cath sorry to hear about your mum's diagnosis she must feel quite poorly and I hope they can make her as comfortable as possible. Not had that treatment as I'm on FLOT but a friend of mine did have that treatment and I think he said fatigue and very achey limbs were what he experienced. Everyone is different though so hopefully your mum will be ok.
I'm preparing for my op to remove tumour on December 29th after 4 rounds of chemo which from the scan results worked quite well which is encouraging.
Dreading the 8hr op but I know it's necessary to continue my fight back. Then it will be 4 more rounds of chemo.
Feel ok right now as last chemo was 3 weeks ago. Pre op on Tuesday then at least I can enjoy Christmas with my family.
Wish you and your mum all the best
