I'm so sorry to hear about your dad. My dad was diagnosed in March with OC but was fortunate to be eligible for surgery, which he had in July. My dad didn't have radiotherapy, so I can't offer any real advice from that perspective but I wanted to reach out and offer my sympathy.

The Macmillan support line has been a good form of contact over the months as well as dad's specialist nurse who I call on if I need support/advice. It's something you might want to consider? The Macmillan line has nurses working for them too so they could probably give you an idea of what radiotherapy involves. It's a tough journey without a doubt and at some point we all need someone to lean on and take support from. I hope you find some comfort. Take care x

Thank you so much CMJ78 for your kind words and support.  It means so much.  My dad is so down with everything, and still in shock.  It’s been such a tough year so far, but as a family we’ll be strong and support him.  I’m pleased your dad was eligible for surgery and that he had that in July.  I think I will call the MacMillan support line.  The MacMillan team at his local hospital have also been very supportive.
