  • Hi Onos, I feel for your dispair, you seem to be being messed about re your money worries, as your Partner is over retirement age you are trying to clain the wrong benefit, he should be claiming Attendance Allowance which is the same in theory to PIP, once that is awarded then he can claim Carers Allowance. You should also speak with your local Council re Council Tax reduction and if you are in rented accomodation then Housing Benefit.

Help with forms rae available from several sources you can initially contact the MacMillan Helpline on the number below or contact your local Citizens Advice Office if you wish to have a face to face appointment, if you let me know what area/Town you live then I can give you details of the local office.

Don't dispair help is there but you need to know the system and unfortunately Government departments are not helpful with claiming help when needed

Hope this helps, but you need to get things moving as immediate money with AA is not quick

    Take Care
