Hi all Monty H is back It’s been a few weeks since I was last in this forum More importantly I hope everyone else has been ok and your treatments
have been kind to you Been a busy but very lucky man with thespeed of attention to my diagnosis so haven’t really had time to contribute anything
for a while Found out on 23rd of June I had Oesophageal Rommel as don’t like the the C word is so over dramatic for me and for me makes sound
more of a battle kicking Rommel all the way back and out of Tunis
So why my absence I been very lucky that I’m under a brilliant surgery team along with my 4 MacMillan nurses at Walsgrave Hospital who have
pulled out all the stops to prevent the quick spread of this horrible disease By the way they classed it as T2N1M0 so I have been a very lucky boy
so far In that time I have had an endoscopy, CT scan, endoscopic ultrasound, PET/CT scan and then a consultation with the Surgeon Consultant
who sort of told me good news that I have a fighting chance because we have decided that I only need to have the partial removal of the
oesophagus in the late Autumn after three to four months of chemo and perhaps radiotherapy last week I had a small staging
laparoscopy & peritoneal cytology operation with four incisions Yes it hurt and yes I got a slight infection but we will survive Next week I have got
a physical exercise where I go on a bike to do the Tour De Walsgrave and the oncologist two days later Can’t fault anything so far the care
has been exceptional to ensure that I have the best possible chance to beat Rommel The Monty H is up for the fight and will win mark my words

covery a little harder but deffo not impossible Won’t allow it to that’s for sure Once thank you for kindness
