Hubby T2N1M0 had 4 rounds of FLOT, which finished 1feb. On Monday got appointment to see surgeon and they say bring any questions but what do you ask, we are in there hands and prey that the operation goes well. Is there anything you can help us with that you think we need to know. Thank you
Hi Deb, It's quite difficult to explain what questions to ask at the appointment as everyone is at a different stage of tests/treatment etc, I started with research ( Bit like that) and the a piece of paper and pros and con questions, I am about to start theta for my latest prognosis of Prostate Cancer and on Prostate cancer Site they hav a question section, I have looked around for you and on our site is the relevant site for the cancer, it's a long booklet but if you haven't been given one then please go through the stages of the Cancer and follow-on

I was diagnosed very early due to me still having 3 monthly scans from my first cancer so they caught it and treated it with Chemo & RT only- I am clear now but am still having 3 monthly Scans which also includes my head and neck for my Laryngectomy site.
Please have a look through the Booklet with your Partner if he is upto it it may also help your concerns,
Take Care

Hi
I did research about questions to ask but it sort of went out my he head when there.
I was at the stage you are now in the summer and I think the most useful information is around recovering and side affects/issues you are likely to have . I did find a lot of the GI team I saw had more information depending on their specialty which included advice on a new way of eating and drinking, weight loss, dumping syndrome, acid reflux etc.
Good luck
Hi
It's a long road I'm my hubby's wife unfortunately he came home but now readmitted last night . As lower abdomen pain. When tried to stand so could not walk. Also on antibiotics just waiting to find out ct scan results, hospital he was at didn't want to know last night. Even though they say ring us anytime as we are the specialists etc but no had to go to general a&e. Good luck and sorry you are on thus site.
