Hi there, has anybody suffered with excessive phlegm/foam I currently am experiencing a lot of it and it is effecting my eating and drinking currently on Buscopan and steroids to ease it but these do not seem to be having any effect looking for other options.
Wishing you all well

Hi Max, Welcome, yes I was experiencing the same and originally I thought it was due to my Emphysema and wasn’t being supported by my GP so when they did I was also given Buscopan 2 tablets 4 times a day but also an antiallergy tablet 1 taken at night, that also helps sleep, I would have thought a steroid would make over production to help clear the lungs. Whilst it doesn’t stop the production, nebulising also thins it and it is easier to deal with. I assume the foaming is from your Oesophagus -Food Pipe- I have the same but as I am a Laryngectomee mine is more pronounce and interferes with my speech, I haven’t got round this yet so that is my next target to try and get help with.
Take Care
Tony
