Hi there, I have just had my second round of Docetaxel chemo. I since seem to get a regular pain that I cannot work out if is heartburn/reflux. I wear a low dose morphine patch and take 20mg of Omerprazole twice a day. I have read one of the rare side effects can be inflammation of the oesophagus, including heartburn. I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this pain while on Docetaxel.
wishing you all well

Hi, whist the drug you are being administered I don't know but when I was on Chemo they give you anti sickness treatment before each session, as I was already on reflux treatment from my first cancer I quite expected it, suggest you speak with your team as they will prescribe an appropriate medcine, but in the short term Gaveston should be quite acceptable, I take that as well as my prescribed when needed as the prescribed has to be taken at certain times
Hope everything is going well, Take Care
Tony
