Hello again everyone
I haven't posted here for quite a while but am doing so now because my lovely husband has nearly reached the end of his journey. He is spending his last days in a palliative care unit at our local community hospital. All the staff are so kind and caring and we were very fortunate to get a bed for him. We would have liked for him to have stayed at home but unfortunately where we live hospice at home care is not available and the care he needs now I couldn't have given him without 24 hour help. All the home care providers in our area are so stretched getting home care is virtually impossible. I don't know if others have experienced the same difficulties. I just wish for a peaceful end to his journey for him and the lovely staff at the unit are doing their very best to make sure this happens. My life without him is going to be so hard to come to terms with but I have a wonderful family around me so I am blessed. My love and best wishes to all of you and I hope there are some good outcomes out there for many of you.
