Hi just reaching out to anyone on the form who may have had similar issues, I was diagnosed T3N1M0 back in December 2020 I have had the Ivor Lewis April 2021 pre op FLOT and post op pathology T0N1M0 which was fantastic then 2 more rounds of FLOT cut short due to side affects, however I was only told in November that there was a node in my lung that had shrank from 4mm to 2mm pre op post FLOT and I needed a scan to ensure it was stable unfortunately it had increased in size back to 4mm now this week 5mm plus a hot spot in a lymph node near my trachea therefore the plan to hit the lung met with a high dose of radiation is out because they would need to do treat both and the radiation could damage my spinal cord so now it’s more chemo and they say it’s no longer curable without radiotherapy best guess now maybe 2/3 years I have no symptoms and am now wondering why the lymph node can’t be surgically removed PET scan next so maybe there playing there cards close to there chests anyone had similar ?

I want to bump your post up if that is ok, I have no answers for you, and I hope the PET scan can allow you to have some soon, but just in case others have missed your post, who may have had a similar experience... I am bumping this one up.
Best of Luck

That’s fine by me Lowe thanks it’s just knocked me sideways because I had clear margins with only one lymph node out of 28 removed with malignant cells present even the primary tumour had completely disappeared and now 15 month later it’s back with limited treatment options complete shock to my system, I can’t understand why SABRE cyber knife can’t be used on the lymph node it’s not that close to the spine and people are treated for cancers in the spine with the same treatment I will ask of course and I am being checked for HER-2 thanks again
Well fingers crossed for the HER-2 Graeme, I truly believe that has helped Dal the most.
Good luck and I do hope others can give some guidance here.
