I had a stent fitted in December. I felt truly awful for the two days after. Real pain and shock to the system.
Please someone confirm that it need not be always as bad. Some discomfort I can live with - and expect and I will be more careful against reflux, and rather freeer with the morphine as needed, but I do not look forward to it.
The first stent was always a little askew, and I hope this will fit better.
Any words of support welcome (and I know to speak to my doctors).
Hi DSlippy
I am sorry your first exprerience of having a stent fitted was one of discomfort, and also that you have, as yet not had any replies from people who have experiences stents, so I wanted to bump this post up, in the hope that someone will be able to give you some positive thoughts and experiences.
My Husband never had a stent, (more because the initial specialist asked him to try to do without one for as long as possible) he found that by the second treatment he was already eating better, so I am unable to provide any knowledge in this area.
I hope it goes well for you

I hope Tuesday goes well for you DSlippy
I had understood that this would be an additional stent experience for you, I hope it is an easier one than last time
