So just had my consultation (currently 2 thirds of the way through my first Chemo session) stage 4
And got the news that my Biopsy results came back positive, so they'll be adding Immunotherapy to my next round....
Anyone got any experience with it ?
Hey Mark, when you say come back positive what do you mean? For my tumour they checked the her 2 levels where they were high I have herceptin with my chemo. I think if the her levels are not high which is the normal they offer you different immunotherapy drugs. Do you know the name of the immunotherapy drugs that they are offering you? Hope you are keeping well mate.
Not actually sure, it was a phone consultation, and he basically said the biopsy results came back positive, and would I be OK with them adding immunotherapy (I SAID YES), He also said that im his first patient that has come back positive..!
I start my second round of Chemo in 8 days so I guess I'll ask some more questions then....
Regardless buddy the immunotherapy drugs are the future. Herceptin what I am on was a gamechanger for breastcancer patients and the immunontherapy drugs seem to be the future of cancer treatment. Have a look at my profile buddy may be some tips in there for what I have learnt. I am on my 5 cycle now. Let us know when you know the drug and I am sure someone on here can share with you.
