I was admitted to City Hospital at Nottingham 18/11/21 all ready for the op only to be told that there wasn't a Hi Dependancy bed.
Sent home with 30 days supply of enoxaparin as I am normally on warfarine.
Hopefully within the next 30 days will get readmittd.
Hi Ian_S,
I was operated on in 2018 at St Thomas Hospital for removal of my adenocarcinoma, 1/3 of my stomach, a few inches of my oesophagus and 36 lymph nodes. After about 48 hours in the Intensive care ward there were no spare beds in the High dependency ward so they put me in a GI ward (mostly lower GI issues) next to the nurses station. I had many more lines and cannula's than all the other patients. My clinical support was not great and caused me some problems but I survived and am still in remission.
