Hi I've not been on here for a while but 2 weeks ago I was at my local hospital getting my oesophagus widened after they found it narrow once my treatment stopped. I got a phone call from the cancer hospital on Friday to go to see my consultant today. He told me that when it was widened they found an ulcer type ln my oesophagus they took a biopsy and it is cancerous they cannot remove it as its too close to my windpipe. He said radiotherapy wouldn't help me so it's a case of managing it they are trying me with immunity treatment. Has anyone else had this treatment? Thanks
Hi Mandy
Sorry to read this, Dal has been on immunotherapy combined with Chemotherapy for some time, he has not had radiotherapy and like your oncologist, his claimed that it would not be of benefit to him.
Do you know which immunotherapy they are considering?

I know this is a frightening time Mandy, but the treatments available are getting better every day,
Good Luck
