Hi I’ve had my diagnosis and had my first chemo, due to have my second next week, unfortunately my reaction to the first round was to be very very sick and nauseous, then to spike temp and be admitted to hospital where I just had acute indigestion and honestly thought if this is treatment I can’t do it. However two weeks on I’ve felt much better until the last couple of days where the nausea has started and I’ve lost my appetite, just wondering if anyone else has had these symptoms and did it occur after each treatment?
Hi Ice cream girl abd sorry to hear about the challenges you have had. My treatment (different type of Lymphoma and most Lilly treatment) was done very slowly to reduce any reactions so I had each of my 6 cycles over 120+hrs….. 5 nights - 6 days in hospital and in the whole I was ok ish. We had regularly change my any-sickness meds and I did go off food as I develop the Helicobacter Pylori, a bacteria that developed ulcers and stomach inflammation. Up until this time I was doing ok with eating - even hospital food!! The 3 pack antibiotics I was given for the HP were horrendous and put me in bed for a week.
Lets look for things to improve ((hugs))
