Glad to report treatment seems to have shrunk visible lumps quite a lot! I will be seeing my consultant in soon after xmas and as advised in this forum will ask for more detailed dietary advice, but meantime.... I've just been checking how long the chemo and steroids stay in the system and it was given as two to three days. So, mine should all have worked it's way out at least four days ago.  Now, does that mean it is now ok to eat and drink some of the things that were on the 'bad' list, like soft cheese, fruit juices, herbal teas etc.,etc,? My appetite is good but I don't want to start a setback by doing the wrong thing at this stage.  Thanks in advance.... I won't get back on here until tomorrow but all advice appreciated.

  • The clean diet is not to do with the actual chemo being in your body it’s all about how well your immune system has recovered after your chemo and you don’t have low blood counts opening your up to infection.

Even although the chemo toxicity will clear from your body in a few days……. the actually effects of the chemo on your body can take rather a long time to clear up Smirk
