Watch and wait

Hi.

This is my first time on here.

I have been on watch and wait for about 1 year for follicular lymphoma.

I have never had any symptoms until a week or two ago. All blood tests have been perfect.

My symptoms have been feeling hot now and again with no temperature. Then weak legs which doesn’t last long.

Does anyone know at what stage treatment starts ? Is it at the first sign of symptoms? Or can symptoms be lived with if possible?

Thank you.

  • Hi  and welcome to this corner of Community.

People can be on Watch and Wait or I prefer Active Monitoring for a rather long time even with developing B symptoms.

I have a different type of NHL and it took 14 years for me to have big gun treatments even although my skin was covered with tumours (see my profile)

This is a question for your team, they may want to post save treatments for when they are needed. There is lots of evidence that people do just as well in the long term if they are actively monitored and have treatments kept until they are really needed.
