Hi, I am so worried, my brother of 39 years old completed his chemotherapy for stage 4 follicular lymphoma 5 months ago, due to severe neutropenia since he has not been able to have his maintenance therapy. He has been struggling over the past few months mentally to get his head round it all and has now tested positive for Covid-19. He is petrified of what’s going to happen to him. How do I help him?
I am sorry to hear about your brother.
First I have talked with others with NHL who have come through COVID during their treatment and others following treatment and are doing good, so be encouraged.
These COVID times are so challenging as it restricts how much you can practically do due to all the restrictions.
Is he in hospital or is he at home self isolating?
Thanks for your reply, that is very encouraging that you have been talking to people in a similar situation who are doing well. He was taken back to hospital today and has been admitted for iv antibiotics and oxygen. He sounds positive and is doing so well so just have to pray and hope he will fight it. You’re all so strong considering what you’ve already been through so he will be fine I’m sure.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
