This is a promising treatment that is proving to be a good treatment for relapsed fnhl patients, so one to remember if and when anyone may need their next treatment. The link takes you to the summary of a study and treatment outcomes, its also not classed as chemo which is good, the 2 drugs are rituximab and Revlimid and the article explains what each drug does.

Good to know, thanks John. I've got my final ritux in 2 weeks and am pretty nervous about finishing.

  • Thanks for this John, the progress in drug development, especially non chemo types is amazing and will be a great encouragement for this starting out on their treatment journey and also for those like Tina who are well down the line.

Happy New Year Tina and I totally get your nervousness about your final treatment sos lets look for 2020 to be a very healthy and happy year for us all xx

  • Hi Tina, seasons greetings to you and Pat, I get the anxiety as treatment comes to an end and that safety blanket is removed, all I can advise is as each month passes it does get easier and if its 3 month check ups see that as reassurance. Hope its a long remission

    Thanks Mike and John

A happy and healthy New Year to you both as well and indeed to the rest of the online community.

    Mike - Pat says hi!

Here's hoping the rapid treatment advances continue apace this year.

    Best Wishes

    Tina

  • And hi back to Pat Tina.

18 June 2018 is ingrained in my mind as the day I was Discharged from SCT Consultants care (57 months)

No more clinics, no appointments, no CTs just “get on with life and you know where we are” took a while to get used to the warm duvet being taken away - but it’s the best way as it takes away the scanxiety.

My Macmillan Nurse had a tear in her eye as she had walked the journey with us both - I still see her at our local Maggie’s for our Heamatology Support Group xx

  • Thanks John!  Nice to know and may be timely.  And it's orally adminstered too - something of an advantage if you're feeling like a walking pincushion!
