My husband 48 was diagnosed with duodenum cancer with liver metastasis and given 2-3 months last October. He has had two rounds of chemo to sustain his life. Today we have been told there is fluid between his chest cavity and lungs they are scanning him again urgently. But told it doesn’t look good he is now 49 and 50 in may and feel today we’ve been told he has 6 months left. I’m truly beside myself and don’t know how I will cope. But also want to be prepared for what will happen. I just don’t want him suffering
Hi Shellsie,
I am sorry to hear about your husband, you both have so much to deal with.
This group is quite small and quiet, you may find a quicker response and more useful support in other more active groups. I know that the emotional support forum is more active, and I imagine that the carers only forum is too. The bowel cancer forum is also very active, and would be an appropriate place to post.
Don't forget that you can also telephone Macmillan if you need support or advice.
Sarah
