Hi all
I finished my treatment for Stage 4 NHL in September 22 and seem to have made a complete recovery.
I recently booked an appointment for laser hair removal on my top lip. Now that my hair has grown back it’s not welcome on my upper lip! The aesthetic practitioner seems to think it’s an issue that I had chemotherapy. My research indicates it’s fine as long as not actively receiving treatment and not skin cancer. Has anyone got any experience of this.
Many thanks
Hi and welcome to the group.
No experience in this and like many other cosmetic treatments it can only be done if the practitioner is happy to do it.
You may unfortunately have to talk with your CNS or consultant and may have to get a note saying it’s ok.
Cosmetic treatment practitioners will have very specific insurance/professional indemnity requirements that they are governed by.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
