Hi. I'm just over a week into my first round of r-chop. It's my last day of taking zarizo today but I'm getting a lot of lower back pain for the first time. I've got some tiger balm heat patches that I think might help but not sure if I'm allowed them. Did a quick Google search but no joy. Does anyone here have any knowledge or experience please? Many thanks.
Hi and welcome to the group.
I was on these injections (G-CSF Injections - FILGRASTIM or similar) for 4 months following my second Stem Cell Transplant. These injections are designed to wake up your bone marrow
I took a few Paracetamol with breakfast then did the injection.
One of the side effect is all over bone pain as the injections are making the bone marrow work over time I had no real bone pain.
I was told that this was down to my team prescribing Piriton or Clarityn Antihistamine as this bizarrely stopped the pain developing, these were taken as per the dose instructions - worth talking your team about this as not a lot of hospitals do this.
That's great advice, thank you very much. I will definitely mention it and see if its something that can be prescribed to me. Thanks again for the reply.
