Hi all. I haven't posted for quite some time but do pop in to read posts from time to time. In a nut shell I was diagnosed with a dlbcl in May last year. I had a large retro-peritoneal mass and smaller area in my spleen. I had 6 cycles of R-CHOP followed by radiotherapy and responded well to treatment. After a period following treatment of feeling pretty low (I gather this is not unusual) I'm back at work now and enjoying feeling well. I had a review appointment this Monday and was surprised that my LDH is raised. Reading posts from others calmed my fears quite a bit but I didn't know the level until the report arrived today. 500 is rather higher than I expected and I can't think of anything to account for it. I know any infection could raise it as can alcohol but I rarely drink and am otherwise well I feel. I do know it can fluctuate too. It's being retested in 6 weeks which does seem rather a long time to wait. I guess I've been pretty lucky feeling I'm off the roller-coaster for a while and I'm not keen to be back on it again!
Love and hugs to all on this journey

Good to hear from you Minty, from my experience counts like LDH could jump around all over the place. LDH levels can move for various reasons and a high percentage is not cancer related.
4 - 6 weeks for a retest is ok and let’s look for this to be a fuss about nothing.
Thanks Highlander. Wise words as ever. I'm adding 2 and 2 and making 20!
