Hi all,
i was diagnosed with stage 4 b mediastinal dlbcl last december and finished treatment in early March. I had a pet scan around mid April which showed an extremely good response however with residual uptake in the mediastinal area, which most likely looked to be inflammation. This was also the opinion of my consultant. I am due to have another PET scan on Monday 17th June just to check up on the area.
i have been having some chest twinges in the area, and I was just wondering whether this is normal post treatment.

Well done in getting through your treatment and getting a good scan. I had a different type of NHL presenting in my neck and even now being over 5 years post chemo I still have pains in my neck due to the damage to my nerves...... in the early days I used to get concerned about this but as time has went in these thoughts have gone.
But it’s good that your team are making sure by doing a PET just to check you out.
