My understanding is that the 'House Arrest' letter is generated by your GP surgery in the light of your consultant's reports. I, with my CLL, was expecting one; my wife, who has rheumatoid arthritis and takes immuno-suppressive drugs, received one. I'm not complaining, someone in the house has to do the shopping and when I go out I'm extremely careful.
