Hi Guys

Hope that everyone is well. I, like yourselves, received the letter as on high risk and been at home lockdown with my 2 kids. One with 6 and other with 12 trying my best to do homeschooling. It has been very difficult to cope being a single mum with this condition and still to be a teacher at full time. Does anyone has some advice, please?

My condition is not controlled yet, my BCR - blood has been increasing in the last 6 months, doing Dasatinib at 40 mg at the moment. Feeling extremely tired and overwhelmed.

Thank you in advance

  • Hi and a very warm welcome to the online community

I'm sorry to hear that you have CML which is not yet controlled. You sound like you have a lot to deal with at the moment so no wonder you are feeling tired and overwhelmed.

I don't have this condition so can't really offer any advice on what to do I'm afraid. Have you spoken to your CNS about how you are feeling in case they need to make any alterations to your medication?

Also, if there is any specific advice you're looking to this group for, you could start a new post asking that specific question.

When you feel up to it, it would be useful if could pop something about your journey so far into your profile as it really helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar diagnosis. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Edit Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
