Hey! I’ve been lurking on here for a while, but I’m about to start treatment for a recurrence, I went for stage 2b, to now 4bGrimacing is there anyone here who’s had the carbo/taxol, avastin mix? How did you find it? xxx

  • Hi  and welcome to our group.

I’m sorry to hear you’ve had a recurrence-it’s horrible news to receive. How are you feeling?

I know we’ve got some stage 4 ladies in the group but I’m not sure of anyone doing the chemo mix right now. I don’t have the right experience and haven’t done this chemo, but I hope if anyone can help out they’ll come along and say hello.

Good to meet you, and I hope you’ll be able to connect with others in the group.

  • Hi,

How are you doing? I have no experience my self, but that may be changing very soon, as I have been told that there may be a recurrance, seen via PET CT.

I would be interested in how you are finding treatment and hints and tips.

I wish you well and smooth sailing through the chemo.

  • Good to meet you too! And thank you for replying. I’m feeling ok atm, anxious to start treatment now but it seems like a double edged sword in that I know it will make me feel rubbish! xxx

  • Hi! I’m ok thank you, how are you doing?Im so sorry that you might find yourself in the same position as mePensive I haven’t started treatment for this yet so I don’t have any tips, but I promise as soon as I do I’ll let you know what I find helpful. I feel like I only just started feeling better from the chemo and radiation last year, so I’m very nervous about everything right now xxx

  • I think we’re all keen to get on when we know treatment is going to start, but I understand you’ll be concerned about how it may affect you. It would be great if you can share your experiences in treatment as it can be so helpful for others to see what it might be like. Hope it goes well for you!

  • I’ll definitely keep you updated! I feel if I can give anyone the info that I’d find helpful right now then that’s a good outcomeRelaxed️ xxx

  • Absolutely right!

I’m always a bit sad when people don’t come back and post and we don’t know how they’ve got on as it’s so helpful to share experiences and it’s very kind to help others even when you’re going through tough stuff yourself.

  • I can imagine the nerves, hopefully they will start to disappear when you start treatment.

I'm doing OK... nervous of what they might say. It's all so frustrating.

If you need a chat at anytime...

  • Try and remember that whatever they find there will be a plan! In my experience it might not always be the plan you were expecting, but there are lots of options to kick this thing in the bum! It really is soo frustrating though, and the waiting seems like an eternitySob xxx

  • Hi  !

I know it's a bit late for replying Sweat smile

I was wondering how did you find the treatment chemo and avastin?

A week ago I had my first mix carbo/taxol plus avastin plus one more. And had a severe vaginal bleeding few days after. I couldn't speak yet to my oncologist, so not sure if it was from the treatment or from the tumor itself.

So was just wondering how did you find it?
