Recently been diagnosed with stage 3 cervical cancer at this moment have declined treatment, how fast does it spread been told its aggressive and how long am I likely to remain well for

Heads in a bubble the drs and nurses use all these long words and it's to much ro take in

  • I’m glad you are new and I hadn’t missed you ! We have a lovely group of ladies here and we like to be as supportive e and encouraging as we can, which is why it is always great to have the positive stories. Obviously not everyone has a positive story to tell, but it’s good to hear all aspects I think. It took me a long time to fill any details in, and to give any details of my own experiences as I didn’t want to scare anyone away! But I wouldn’t like to think anyone feels wary of posting, regardless of experience as we’re all here to help each other where we can.

But becoming a community champ meant I needed to do update my profile, and it’s been helpful in other groups, as what I had done covers so many different things. it lets me help out with queries which come up in the stoma and vaginal cancer groups for example.

Angela in our group here () is just waiting for her scan results for her 2b treatment so she is a little bit ahead of you. Julie () has just had her excellent post treatment scan results.

Hopefully your side effects will calm themselves and fade away-mine all disappeared quickly after treatment and gave me no further trouble. Really pleased to see you’re doing so well and I’m sure you’ll be an asset in the group!

    Sarah xx
