Hello, I’ve been offered Radical Trachelectomy to treat my 1B1 cervical cancer.
I would like to know how’s the recovery, was it successful?
And have anyone had a successful pregnancy after this surgery?
I don’t know if I’ll require further treatment yet but I would like to read different story’s.

Thank you so much xxx
So much love to everyone <3

  • Hi and a very warm welcome to the online community

I'm sorry to read that you have been diagnosed with cervical cancer and it's natural that you have questions about your proposed treatment.

I typed 'radical trachelectomy' into the search bar in this group and found quite a few posts which mention it. I thought you might find this thread in particular helpful as it also talks about subsequent pregnancy. If you want to read through the other posts you can find them by using the search facility.

When you have a minute, it would be really useful if you could pop something about your journey so far into your profile as it really helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar diagnosis. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.

  • Just coming back here to say that the surgery went very well, the results were also good and I don’t need further treatment so far, will go back in 4 to 6 month for MRI and a checkup.
I hope this is of help to someone looking for information about this surgery, my experience so far it’s been positive xxxx

    Much love xxxxx
