How does everyone cope with daily life?
I try and keep busy, but it's always there .
I had my pre op yesterday, I'm waiting for my salvage hysterectomy now
Hi Sodo7985
A day at a time, an hour at a time, just to get through. I hope you’ll not have long to wait to get your surgery over with, and that it’s successful for you. It’s hard to cope with the waiting, but I tried hard not to think too far ahead when I was facing my surgeries. It’s very hard for it not to occupy your thoughts, but I tried to focus on getting a successful outcome, not the process to get there.

Thank you Sarah,
I get stuck in to doing things and it just creeps up on me. It feels lonely sometimes , my husband is great and keeps reassuring me but I know he's struggling silently.
So far the hospital have been amazing with putting everything in place ready and the support nurse keeps me updated.
I think sometimes you need to speak to others, I find it hard speaking to family
I think it can be much easier to speak to strangers, especially because they have been through the same things as us, and can understand better. Plus we don’t want to worry those closest to us. It’s a lonely road to travel.
I completely get you when you say it creeps up on you, even when you’re trying to keep busy, but I think that’s very normal for us. But I’m glad to hear the hospital are being so good-we need to be able to trust our teams and put our faith in them.
