Hi Anon1
Having the hpv virus itself doesn’t cause bleeding, so if you are experiencing bleeding between periods or any other unusual symptoms, then it’s best to make an appointment with your doctor and get checked out. Hopefully you can be reassured that there’s a straightforward explanation.

Hi Anon1
Unfortunately, It is possible to have precancerous cells or even cervical cancer despite a clear test 2.5 years ago which is why it’s best to see your doctor. You cannot get a smear test outside the cervical screening programme if you are in the UK, but things may be different if you’re not in the UK.
