I am something you would not welcome,
I am something you may not see,
I am something that is not normal,
And your future depends on me,
I may not show any symptoms,
I might not cause you any pain,
I could grow so very quickly,
Spread my poison through your vein,
I will try to take your spirit,
Without a fight I'm sure to win,
With every step you give a counter,
And to rid of what's within,
I will claim my own blood vessels,
And I will multiply my cells,
And I will be constantly feeding,
Until it all adds up and tells,
It tells you," you have cancer",
The dreaded one,"big C",
A fight you need to win,
And live the rest of your life free.
Hi Dora223
Thank you for sharing this with us, and I hope you find that expressing yourself through your poetry helps you in the grieving process. You may want to add this one to the Express Yourself forum where I know you have posted before. I hope you are doing ok-grief is a long process for those of us who have had to go through it.
