  • Fantastic news!!  It makes it all worth while doesn't it xxx

  • Hi Sarah!
yes I’m feeling good! However the menopause has fully kicked in now!
    hope your feeling well xx

  • Hi

Yes thanks, I’m fine. Glad I was post menopausal at diagnosis so didn’t have that to deal with on top of everything else! Still, it’s a small price to pay and hopefully you be able to deal with the symptoms.

  • Got my 2nd scan next week! Feel really nervous about this one! Xx

  • Hi

Good to see your name pop up again! The scanxiety is horrible, isn’t it? What kind of scan are you having this time?

It was interesting to see you are getting another scan-that isn’t the protocol where I was treated. It was just one mri 3 months after treatment, and then 3 monthly check ups with a chat, an internal examination and general poke about. My hospital only did further scans if you had any symptoms of recurrence. I was lucky that my consultant found my recurrence on one of these checks and it was only then I had another scan.

Fingers crossed everything is still good for you. How are you getting on with your menopause? Hope you are feeling good!

  • Ah really? Yes at Christie’s it’s mri scan every 3 months for the first year then 6 months after that. They are keeping a real close eye aren’t they which is good however yes you’re right the anxiety is very real!!
    how are you Sarah? Xx

  • Oh, yes- that is a close eye being kept. I’m not too bad thanks-just waiting for a pre op appointment to have another operation probably next month, but not cancer related this time!

  • Hi She111 and sorry for the delay.  Just had Covid for the very first time and it completely floored me.  Clear now though thankfully but don't ever want it again!!  I am similar to Sarah in that I had a 3 month MRI and then much to my dismay since then I only have the chat, internal and prod about and I honestly don't know which I would prefer, that or scans!  I think the positive you can take away from scans is that you know you are all clear, in fact I still panic when I go for my three monthly checkups without the scans!!  I will probably more so this time (September) as my last checkup was just a phone call which means it's six months since my last physical check up.  You can't win, honestly!  The good thing is even if there was anything they would find it straight away and nip it in the bud.  I'm sure you'll be fine.  Good luck xx
