Oh Angela, you poor thing! It’s horrible, I know.

Yes, for me it went quite quickly after my treatment but don’t know how brachy affects it.

You know those plastic spray bottles you fill with water to water plants and stuff? Fill with warm water and spray on while you’re having a wee. No touching involved but it helps!

Ok, so I’ll be really gross and honest here (shoot me later) I peed in the bath! It honestly helped! Not sure if the cosy water soothed it but it helped 

I did get out straight after and shower

Perfectly acceptable Jen! Warm water soothes so it’s a good idea. No judgement here!

That makes me feel better! I kept the tap running too as that made me want to wee!

Oh Angela I'm so sorry you are having to deal with this as well.  I know what you mean by not bringing yourself to touch down below - I haven't even dared look.  I was going to have a peek when I had my bath today but I just daren't.  Sounds like you have some very good advice from the other ladies so I would just like to wish you good luck xxx

I wouldn't be so concerned about this only the brachy is now realy scaring me, as I'm all sore and raw right up my vajay ..I'd love a bath ladies but unfortunately I only have a shower  I'm placing a huge pillow between my knees at night in bed, that helps to ease the rawness. I used 1 of the instilligel last night b4 bed  and it has helped a bit( it's like a local anesthetic) it took a lot of courage to use it but glad I did. Thanks again girls..the support on here is unreal .

It’s really a miserable time with this Angela, but it will get better pretty quickly after treatment. Once my radiotherapy was finished I was able to get a different type of gel for burns that I wasn’t able to use during treatment because of whatever it had in it. Flamazine or something. It was really effective. 

I would put this gel on, then lie on my bed, legs apart and not move for a while. It was utter bliss and such a relief. I hope this stuff you have now can give you some relief. It’s only temporary but it was like razor blades trying to have a wee I remember. 

Try not to stress too much about the brachy and get panicky al5hough I know that will be hard. But it’s the last push to get rid of this.

Thanks for advice Sarah  I'm gonna have a word with staff tomorrow as I'm down to have 28 radio but to date iv already had 24 so this week should finish me but iv dates right through til end of following week (25/03)?? Confused xx

Yes, just get them to clarify for you-don’t want to be going more often than you need. Can’t believe you’ve done 24 already! So close to finishing everything off. How are you feeling? Hope you’ve been doing ok and coping with the cystitis.

Hi Sarah..sorry it's 24 tomorrow..but that wud only leave me 4 so I'm quite confused..I understand on the 24th I get 1st brachy so they add a radio on.. but the other brachys will be done when I'm finished my radio completely.. so I shall ask tomorrow to ease my mind. I'm feeling like I'm ready to be done with treatment if I'm honest. I ddnt feel ill b4 and now I struggle to eat every day so I wish it ws all over..but tomorrow is a new week with fresh challenges and the end is in sight .
